Nope, not for free, you have to pay mate..

Phone you network providor and ask them to unlock it. I phoned Vodafone and asked them to unlock it, which they did, for free.

The phone is locked to t-mobile so if I ring them up would they do it?

If you're a new T-Mobile customer, they might not agree, but it's worth asking anyway.

I've been with them since 2005!! I got the phone as an upgrade 2 years ago but now i'm moving to a new contract (vodafone) and want to unlock this...hopefully they will do it!! Browsing the internet, I see they've made people pay £15 :'(

Remind them how long you've been with them if you need to. I admit, I was a bit I was shocked Vodafone unlocked mine, especially after a Vodafone shop in Glasgow wanted £20 to do it.

If T-Mobile don't agree to do it for free, you could always ask Vodafone to pay for it as you're signing as contract with them.

There is a free piece of software on this site, let me find it

Here's the link. It worked for the K850i, not sue if it will work with K810i

identify in setools should tell you.

Thanks done it's CID52. I'm now stuck on something else, in the tutorial it says I will have to browse for the 'main firmware' and 'flash file' where do I find these???

you have to use a program called SETOOL2LITE, and patch the phone in order to unlock it for free.

Also on that link it says there is a ready made patch for my phone...does that mean I can just patch it using that file???

I''m aware of that I was just talking about my phone which they charge £10 for and kl

Yup debranded, then unlocked

And yeah he's right that CID53 can be patch unlocked free, I came across it in my hard researching lol.

To be fair to spitroast £10 is a reasonable price to pay for someone else doing the leg work / research / paying for software and kit / and taking the risk that the phone maybe bricked.

there are many people out there that value their time and don't want to take the risk.

I have unlocked some of my phones if I can get the solution quickly and there is almost no risk to the phone, but on the otherhand if its going to take a few hours of hunting the net, downloading software from dubious sites and risking the phone being bricked, then I would much rather just pay the tenner and get it done.

I have just got a Blackberry Curve taht needs unlocking, but after a quick google around, there does not seem to be any reliable code generators, so I will just pay the price and get teh code from a professional unlocker.

just my 2p worth
