I worked for a law firm in Stevenage hertfordshire, and the solicitors regulation authority started a forensic investigation, regarding the accounts, in early November. My employer who was a sole practitioner asked me to continue working whilst the SRA investigated, which I stupidly did, at this point I was already owed Octobers wages. The SRA made the decision to intervene and close the firm down in December, thus meaning I am owed two months pay. My employer now has bankruptcy proceedings being made against him, but he is a wide boy and is likely to wangle it so he is not made bankrupt, by shifting the blame onto salary partners, and making them liable. I really need to know how I can claim my salary back. Any ideas will be much appreciated.
