Thanks... does this mean he is reputable?

    Would you order from him?

There are a few general things to look for to give you a basic understanding:

Look through the website, check for silly mistakes and read the T's & C's - are they in proper English? Do they make sense? Make sure they apply to that company and not lifted from some other website or translated into English.
Is there a VAT number and registered business number on the site? Check who the business is registered to.

Is there a written address of the company? Google it - find it on google maps, look it up on yell.com - confirm its legit. Is there a phone number? Ring it - ask a couple of questions such as how long does delivery take etc.

Google the company - if other people have been ripped off there will be some mention of it online.
Pay by PayPal or credit card if at all possible, so that if it does go wrong you can claim it back.

Is the site secure when you go to Pay? Does it have any acrediations for being an approved retailer (ISS - Internet Shopping is Safe etc). Look this up.

You just have to be a bit savvy, do your research, and remember if something is too good to be true it probably is! But there's no hard and fast rule; some real websites have rubbish sites and some fake ones have very professional ones - but don't be scared to shop online - a bit of common sense and you should be fine!!

For example - doing a google search of the VAT number they have on site shows me that this company also run an eBay store that has a 99.4% positive feedback rating:
