Is it a towing eye ? That you screw into your car to attach a rope to tow your car ,or at the rear to tow another car .

I totally feel ya, I hate it when you ask something in B&Q and the staff never heard or know what your asking for. Then they get a supervisor and they also don’t know. Then a manager also doesn’t know or they’re not available. Thats why I never ask for advice there. I google it before going if I need something specific.

Just undo the sink trap to get the original part. It wont have gone further into the waste system.
