These Mobile Racks are the faultless solution for data backup and transporting-data between computers._Fitting into a standard PC 5.25" bay, it's inner case can accept most_3.5" IDE HDDs._ With no upper limit on HDD capacity the possiblities continue.

Well situated for data management and sharing - Lockable.
Supports most 3.5
Low noise cooling fan for optimum air flow to avoid overheating.
Auto-eject handle with patented design.
Compatible with: Windows 98, 98SE, 2000, Me, XP, Vista.

That would work but if you're just wanting the data off it there are far simpler ways to do it - I'd recommend a USB 3.5 inch caddy such as:

ebuyer.com/pro…250

You just slot the drive in, power it up and connect over USB adn then you have access to your data.

Thanks John, but i still dont understand :-| what this does compared to a caddy or am i just being stupid. What i want to do is, ive got backups of 4 series of drama which have taken most the space of a 3.5" 40gb HD, i just want to connect it to pc without the headache of opening pc up to watch whatever is on there, And if the thing that i have posted allows for me to add the hd to the "mobile rack" will it just become like an external HD. thanks

What you have posted is a removable tray caddie for a hard drive that fits inside a five and a half inch bay inside your PC, it is designed so you can easily remove a hard drive and put it into another computer with a compatible bay.

What you want is what john posted, an external USB caddie with it's own power supply and connected by a USB cable
