I think it varies from shop to shop and what time they close . I have to say they do the best discounts . Never pay more than 9p for bread.
Just come from my local store and the shelves are pretty empty there, some fresh stuff already reduced due to dates, but not by a great deal, they were just starting on the Bakery products about half an hour ago in my local, but again the discounts were nothing special 30p off a £1.00 loaf of bread, was one I noticed. store is still very busy and is open until Midnight tonight ( so still 7 hours trading left) so will probably reduce items further if they don't sell on the first reduction, that's what they usually do.

Our local Morrisons tend to reduce stuff at 5.00 p.m
Their food.

Depends what day you go but Mon-Sat from 5pm onwards.
there open tomorrow so dont hold your breath
Morrisons is open till midnight near me, they reduce things two hours before close.
reduce items are normally in the evenings after 6 normal days but tmarw they probably start reducing at tea time 4ish in most places
They are very busy today , I've found there is no set time -just when they get round to doing it , many things had the yellow labels on at about 1300 today .
