Anyone Know where we can get a Giant Schnauzer puppy from???

    Hi,
Last year my dads beloved Giant Schnauzer passed away at the old age of 17.
We had 3, (2our 2 had puppies and we kept one) but sadly all died now.
My dad is a bit lonely and missing having the big man around so really wants another one or two.
I can only find 3 in the whole country and they are on epupz but all too far away and really expensive and most havent even been born yet.
I know they are not cheap dogs especially now they were the crufts winner this year and he is willing to pay a lot and willing to travel quite far but they seem too far and too expensive.
Anyone any ideas or know anyone thats got one who would know where we can get them from?
Any help much appreciated as my dad really wants one or two ASAP.

    Thanks.
    Thanks.

Have you tried the ]Giant Schnauzer club website ? They do rescue dogs like all breeding dog websites.

Yeh i no they are expensive, he is willing to pay but they are both lancashire so thats bit too far for us as were near london.
We got our 1st one from london, then our old boy we had to get from Wales and then they had puppies.
Thanks for your help. Rep added!!

does it have to be a giant. Ive have my mini schnauzer for 5 months now and hes lush. There are quite a few breeders of mini about. I bought mine from Blyth.
Might be easier to handle too if your grandads getting on a bit. x

Thanks for the help. My dad is not sure about a rescue as you can never know what temprament they have and he has 2 very young grandchildren and other pets so would be easier to get puppies. Will have a look though. Thanks.

lol, no my dad is only 52, plenty of live in him yet and he has 2 small dogs ( a cairn and a staff) but just misses the big personality around. My mum and dad live in the countryside and have a big house and an acre of garden so he wants a giant really. My ex boyfriend had just got too mini schnauzers and mum loves them but my dad really wants a big dog. Thanks for the help. Rep added.

lol, no problem. His only in his early 50s. lol.

    awww what a cutie!
yep they're expensive alright! my mate had to bring hers all the way from another country she'd been living in for a long time! really attracts comments when they go walking the dog ... old street/barbican.

epupz is a really good site to keep an eye on... there are 4 at the moment on there..

Yeh i know. They are a nightmare to find. Its doing my nut in. Just really want to find one now. I was hoping it would be a miracle and someone on here would say, thats funny, i know some one who has some. lol. that was me dreaming an ideal situation.
No really, my dad is willing to travel over 100 miles and pay quite a lot but they are so rare.
When ours had pupies they all sold for arund £500 each and that was 15 years ago so we know they are expensive but just wish i could find one closer or cheaper.
    Thanks.

yeh but only one of them litters has even been born yet, all the others are awaiting the birth which means they wont be ready til november/december and he would rather go get one rather than wait. lol. I have been checking epupz everyday. thanks.

If we cant find one anywhere soonish then he is considering either a labradoodle (labrador cross poodle) or a goldendoodle (golen retriever cross poodle) but really has his heart set on a Giant Schnauzer.
