There was a positive experience of Car Giant recently in Honest Johns section in the Saturdays Motoring Telegraph

Some bloke bought a car and it had paint faults which Car Giant fixed without quibble.

Also this from HJ:

Nervous tick

I might buy a used vehicle from Car Giant but am not at all familiar with this company and a little nervous about spending a lot of money with an automotive supermarket. Will it be all right?

Car Giant (www.cargiant.co.uk) is the biggest single-site car retailer in Europe. It specialises in ex-fleet cars, usually about three years old, and also deals in models from new to about five years old on a much tighter profit margin than most dealers. Customers get value for money rather than glass, chrome and complimentary coffee. Prices are a bit higher now than they used to be to allow for warranty claims under SSGCR 2002.

Thanks vikingaero

Prices are high and most of the cars are 3 or 4 yrs old but with high mileage. Low mileage cars are quite expensive & an years warranty cost about £300 extra. Plus, every car attracts £71 sale fee.

Any other recommendations for sites that sell new or nearly new cars at bragain prices?????

]Trade sales in Slough.

I have now had delivery of my Megane F1 R26. I bought this from Buyacar.co.uk. It was over £4000 less than RRP. Took 13 weeks for delivery but no problems. Amazing car.( price now jumped back up)

Also bought a Toyota Corolla Verso from Newcardiscount.com last year, no problems either.

I posted the Megane price as a hotdeal, it was removed because it appeared to be attracting spam to the forum.

It would be good to be able to post these deals as each particular car model varies widely in price between these types of site.

My dad is currently wanting to buy a 3 or 5 series BMW, trying to find the best price on a google search is difficult.
