anyone used eurostar?

just wanted some helpon eurostar, on the website it says to take your passport do they ask for this? when you are travelling and does the name on the passport have to match the name on the tickets? as im going to book some tickets for a gift, but they`ll be under my name? need some help on this

you will need your passport to enter another country. Just been on eurostar to Brussels, checked on way out and entering. Not sure if they checked the names on the tickets but you should be able to book the tickets, and be asked for names of travellers, like on flight tickets.

oh right, ill try give eurostar a ring and see what they say

When you say 'book under your name', you just mean pay for under your name, right? When I've booked the eurostar tickets online for family members, I've always had to enter the names of the travelling passengers at the booking stage. The only issue we had when I wasn't travelling was that they had to take the credit card that the tickets were booked under to collect them at the station. Obviously not an issue if you have them posted to you.

You NEED your passport, it's exactly the same as when flying.

At St Pancras they have french immigration officers.

    Levis !!!!

Please remember......Eurostar trains only travel between cities, not space and time ....... now there's a plan
