Anyone used worldwide parcel services?

Has anyone used this delivery company before? worldwide-parcelservices.co.uk/

I got the details off mse and assumed they were ok but a bit worried now.

On Wednesday I filled out all the forms online for a large box to be picked up and taken to Spain, pick up was given as 16th, yesterday, between 9 and 5. I was quite surprised as there'd been this reported backlog yet they seemed to be fine.
Wait in all day and nobody turns up.
Call them, office closed. Email them instead.
10 last night receive a reply mail saying they were struggling with the backlog and would book me in for today.

We are in London, the roads have been clear now for yonks.

I said that was ok as long as it definitely would be collected today.

He said "we have no way of knowing if a courier will get to you or not, they do not advise us. They take the booking, the driver accepts, and the rest of the year 99% the collection happens. At Xmas, compounded by the weateher, the failures increase dramatically"

Well, you guessed it, I sit here after another wasted day with no collection.

Should I cut my losses and rebook with a more reputable company or are they all going to be just the same?

Get a refund and go elsewhere.

Which courier was it booked in with? Worldwide Parcel Services would have just been acting as the agent, booking the collection on your behalf. You could try elsewhere (places like Parcel2Go etc) but they're only agents too - it sounds like it's the Courier (DHL or DPD) who are at fault.

I've used them before (Using DHL Europlus), Made a mistake on the paperwork (my fault) but dropped it off at the local depot no problems. Using agents will probably be all the same with the couriers given more priority to their own accounts rather than 3rd parties at the moment.

The courier service is DPD who I have never used before and don't know if they are good, bad or ugly. I send a large box like this every year (not usually so late) and have nver had a problem with agent or direct.

The comment above would make sense, if there is a backlog, top of the list will be their own parcels. Bottom of the list will be mine

I have had major problems with Worldwide Parcel Services. Like you, I got their details from MSE. They failed to collect on 3 occasions, and refuse any form of compensation. Please avoid
