anyone want to get rid of some serious weeds??? / trees / plants

ok, so maybe like me you have the dreaded blakberries (wild) brambles and stinging nettles taking over you back garden? well i did! these things were 4 FT high! and thick as anything! i have now ben able to cut them down to 1ft approx in 3days with just weedkiller no work ;-) i must admit if you are doing this be carful ok!

right so the mixture to kill ANYTHING DEAD within 3 days (used for just over a monthy now) is 1/2 tumbleweed killer (its called tumbleweed) 1/4 DEEP ROOT / whole 'small' packet. and then any old standered weedkiller eg tesco weedkiller.

mix it all up its easier if u get tumbleweed in the sprayer can then mix it in that for application!

this stuff is VERY powerful! i will up some pics of what it has done in just three days for those non-belivers!

belive me if you have problem weeds or want to kill a big bush or TREE (yes it kills trees!) this is the mixture.

i dont say that this is allowed by the companies involved nor that they support me but this stuff works!

just some useful infomation for you'all

I will give this a try... I have been wanting to sort a part of my garden for a while...

    Hope it does not explode!!...

nope it doesnt (explode or re-act with each other seems a perfect mix) dont know the half life though so it might remain dead for about 3-5 months (judgin from the back of all the packets) but this stuff is safe doesnt damage my skin (and mine is sensitive) takes 2hrs before wiliting and by next day its all drooping to the floor

TIP: find a stinging nettle and do it! they go purple! then black then just disappear

I think I will give it a try over the weekend... will post photos before and after if I remember to take them...

Kills trees!!! hmmm.... nice... opps I mean bad...could get done if the council finds out!!

this stuff seems to kill anything though it doesnt work very well on normal lawn grass takes about a week but then dies over night ;-)

Cheapest method by far is salt, plain old table salt. You can get it by the kilo in most supermarkets for a very cheap sum. Mix it with some water then use a watering can to cover the area. If you want to go over the top with it, liberally sprinkle the salt over the area (i did it so I could not see anything looked like it had snowed - lol) then water it in.

Does the job at a fraction of the cost.

Just salt?? this definately sounds like the cheaper option but how affective is it? will it clear the dreaded blakberries (wild) brambles and stinging nettles?. Do you know how long before you see the affects?

i tried salt and it did jack cra* to my weeds i think they just put it on their food ;-) this is the only mixture that i have found that gets all of these

hmmm just my view i guess maybe it depends what type of soil uve got as well.... ours is VERY clay / chalk weird combo but weeds love it

im just about to go to b&q, would all the stuff be available from there or a specialist garden centre?

Ive been told that an easy way to kill a tree is to hit some copper nails into it. Not come across copper nails - but guess drilling a hole and plonking some copper wire would have the same effect.

    Any truth in that?

I've often thought about "doing in" a willow tree at the bottom of our garden. The trunk is about 8" on our side of the boundary - but is the neighbours tree. I'd never do it though. It's a lovely tree - just makes such a mess, causes subsidence, drains water and most important, blocks the view of Astra 28W for our satellite dish!!!!

You can see just how much it overhangs!
