can't imagine anyone being on here. If I were an Air Traffic Controller, last thing I'd wanna do is check out hotukdeals when I got home.

Don't know anyone whos work's in ATC but it will all depend on where you will work. The main aiports are fun to work in, and so could some of the smaller ones but some are really boooring (Kent Intl/Redhill yawn). Just remember one thing, don't take your work home with you and don't apply if you suffer from road rage.

    Are you training with NATS?

My father worked in the former NATS West Drayton site and I was a visitor on several occasions. Never got to see the Swanwick site but then it was years behind schedule.

A rewarding if demanding role to take on.

it will be training with NATS, got a long way to go before that stage mind - monday is first stage of 3.

no idea where it will be based to be honest, but im pretty tied to the southampton area, so wouldnt take it if it was too far away.

knew it was a long shot on here, but thought it worth a try

You won't be far from Swanwick then :w00t:

If you go to Thiefrow you better have a good head for heights,:giggle: this building is taller than the PO tower in East London and stands 87 metres high, the top section is 27 metres high and weighs 900 tons :w00t: it was built on the ground near T4 and moved to it's present location in 2 hours at night, then it was jacked up over a two week period. It does have a lift inside the shaft but there is also a stairwell in case the lift is U/S.:whistling:
