Apple Genius Bar advice?

Right.... I've got an old 30gb iPod Video that is obvious out of warranty but has a corrupted hard drive. Just wondering if anyone knows Apple's store policy regarding replacing it out of warranty? Thankies x

Reformat?

Not sure on the iPod, but when I took in a knackered iPhone they swapped it for a brand new one, for £140. I doubt it'd be that much for your iPod, but I'm not sure.

If its out of warranty then you are at the mercy of the folks there. Its gonna cost you and it depends on the parts they have available.
