They’re trying to stay afloat. They don’t have the same bank balance as apple ($245 billion in reserves as of 1st quarter of 2019). Greed comes to mind. (edited)

Maybe just maybe they are just trying to help out those doing their bit, just like they do for students all the time and they do for different companies through the various discount schemes that are out there. It’s good to be cynical but sometimes you could always be looking at it the wrong way. Don’t believe Apple have furloughed any of their staff unlike other retailers, sometimes it’s not all about greed.

Very sad outlook on life. It’s a business that’s what they do sell stuff. The fact blue light card holders get extra discount to me is just a bonus as I need a new iPad. So good on apple, saved myself a bit extra..

all companies are are trying to get sales. So by your logic you would prefer them not to offer the discount so the customer has to pay full price? Maybe your on the wrong site..

just because a company has money money in the bank why can’t they offer a discount?

From my knowledge blue light is the employee discounts for emergency services like the police, fire department and NHS.
Some other areas may have access to the scheme like some staff in the ministry of defence.
Really doubt it’ll apply to the retail sector but I could be wrong.

You can combine this with the 24% interest free plan via Barclays if that helps anyone.
