Apple Macbook - mysterious disappearance of repairs been done !

purchased a Apple Macbook from US in 2014, had some problems and repairs been done under the Consumer Law Act .. now Apple have mysteriously lost some repairs I've had done on their system when speaking to them on the phone. however when I've visited them in store they seem to be aware of them.

laptop currently with them as developed a new problem whilst with them when having a repair done. Now I want this refunded replaced as they told me after 3 or 4 repairs I would get a replacement... this is where now they claim only one repair happened ... and some of the repairs that have been done aren't even on their system properly

got in touch with trading standards... but is there an ombudsman that oversees all of this?

    anyone else had similar issues

Each time a repair is made you would have received an email, can you not show this as proof?

I would also recommend escalating the issue with Apple first before proceeding with further action.

Your Mac book should have a serial number. Have you always had the same mac book back after a repair?

    World Wide warranty?

HP, Toshiba to name a few have all repaired defective laptops bought in the US via the UK support network.

I think you have a point on this. Regardless of a worldwide warranty if you buy something outside of the UK you will NOT be covered by UK law.

A world wide warranty isn't the same as consumer legislation.

The OP cannot claim under consumer legislation so is subject to the terms of the warranty. The warranty will be Apple's own and the OP must stick to the T&C of that warranty.

Op do you have any emails or paperwork pertaining to the work required (at the time) and done. I've had a couple of repairs (warranty) and each time I get a job number, email copy and print out when the Mac is collected.
