Any advice appreicated guys.

Bought the Dixons MBP refurb deal 13" for £675 few days ago and its mint etc but I am also a student so could get the new one £859. My plan/idea was to keep this refurb and maybe selle for around £500 mark in a years time.

Any have any hints ie should i return this dixons one and get the education price one with 3 years Applecare but pay a bit more? Bit worried about ressale with that.

I would have gone for the brand new style MBP which has just come out with the student discount and applecare as imo, you should get applecare.
However I'm not sure if you will be able to return yours if you have been using it?
You will have a better resale value with the newer model and applecare with it.

To get the three years free apple care, you have to buy online or over the phone. just a heads up as I only found that out later!

Well I have a 7 day returns for the Dixons refurb one (2010 model) so I can still return this (not used it).

I am worried I wont be able recoup as much with the new model with the increased outlay.

I have already had a quote for apple on the i5 model at the edu prices.

Yep, or if you buy in store it's £59...or something like that, it's subsidised but not free.
If you have an NUS extra card you can access the HE discount via the NUS Extra website and it would be £859.20 delivered.

Interestingly you can get one of the new ones for £781.22 hotukdeals.com/dea…380 but obviously no applecare with that.

Yes noticed that, but bit wary as cashback not 100%.

Also to mention, I run a 3d graphics program (Unity) which is really that GPU itensive
