Im pretty sure apple did some kind of student discount scheme or still do

Am i right in thinking its only for macs/macbooks?

not for ipads?

i remember a mate of mine bought a mac/book and got ten percent off and a free 8gb ipod touch or something

just wondering if it infact works for ipads.

not for ipads, ipods or iphones or anything like that. and its up to 15%

I got my first ever iPod using the education store discount thing. dunno if they still do it though.

I used their discount when buying my MacBook Pro. Finished uni a month or so before so was lucky.

You can get up to 15% discount on macbook, macbook pro, imac, mac pro and mac mini If you're at uni. You can access the apple higher education store via your uni network. You also get 3 years hardware and parts warranty if you order ONLINE via the HE store.

The free ipod and printer rebate is usually run from around the end of may through to september. You pay in full for the ipod and printer and send off for the rebate. Increases the cost a fair bit but if you sell both then you end up saving a fair amount and brings the overall cost to a very nice price!
