I visited a sea-life centre at Bolougne back around 1995, so not sure it is even still there. Might be worth a look to see if you can find this online.
I've been to the SeaLife centre at Great Yarmouth since then and the one in France is much better.

Didn't have kids in 1995, but they probably would have liked it. Good Luck

The aquarium, Nausicaa in Boulogne, mentioned in a couple of other posts, is absolutely fantastic. We went there last December (07) with our two children, then aged 7 and 4 and had a wonderful time. Spent hours wandering around and seeing everything. I remember when we first entered the place I thought what a waste of time and money this was going to be, but my first impressions proved to be very wrong. I'd highly recommend this place.
If you are planning on doing any shopping in France, make sure you don't plan to do it on a Sunday as the shops are shut then. The place in Calais is called ]Cité Europe and is quite good, lots of different shops and a hypermarket (or two?, can't remember how many). That's worth a visit before getting back on the ferry or train.

yeh theres defo one near there 100% sure i went to it 6 years back

OP we only find it takes about 3 hours from Calais to Disneyland via toll roads.
What about Parc Asterix that's en route.
