Do these come with fag burn buttons and high score screen burn and the occasional coin op jam? Also How I used to love saying to the 80yr old non speaking arcade assistant with his bunch of Alcatraz keys " I put 50p in this machine and nothing happened!" .

I can only speak for myself but my desire to get one was due to the cabinet, I know I can play the game for free on my PC on MAME but that's not the point at all, you're paying for the cabinet. Each to their own, I'm delighted with it.

You could buy a bicycle instead of a car? Or a cheese burger instead of a whopper.

You could do many things with many purchases differently, youre comparing apples with pears.

The street fighter one is a gen 1 cabinets. You are better off with MK or Turtles are those were much better quality. Previously got the Street Fighter one for £200 from Argos (without riser)

Not worth it really. Had sf2 and sold it. Its cheap tat and whilst can easily be modded, you end up replacing most things. The yanks get these silly cheap so kind of justified for them.

Is anything worth it over a raspberry pi and retro pi though?

Wll yea, any Android box beats them at any price. Pi is well over priced for what it is. Go on ebay and buy a decent Android box for less than half the price and do a lot more with it. So in reply to your question.... Yes anything is worth it over a Pi

Here ya go, £40 with 4GB and 64GB, It will blow the Pi away ebay.co.uk/itm…677 (edited)

I bought the SF 2 cabinet in TK Maxx for £65 on clearance in June. I pretty much stripped it out and installed a Pi with Retropie nearly 3000 games, new screen, joysticks and buttons. Total cost around £150. I love the thing.

Try and fit 4 people around that cabinet though. It's near impossible. Unless you are 4x very slim 5 year old kids.

Converted a few Turtles in Simpsons and vice versa, weighed a ton so they did....

You will definitley need the Arcade Punks site for all the front ends etc

Most people go Pi but it depends which you think is best and what you want to use. Everything should be on them sites for ya

I played the SF2 one in Smyths and it was rock hard (or maybe I've become rubbish) but I guess they might do that to stop people spending any major length of time on it. The joystick came off, which didn't help!

True, considering how cheap these go for in the US. Although retro gaming is massively overpriced in this country anyway. Look at how much the likes of Bitcade charge for a cabinet with a cheap monitor inside and Pandora’s Box. £1200! Can build similar to those for a quarter of the price.

Yeh pretty much. The dx version has console emu games now, then usb to add more games. Its a more plug & play arcade ready solution. I still swayed to a newer 8gb pi, but mainly because of front ends + still like to use for kodi

My 3b runs a lot of games but it can't really handle N64 emulation. The one in your link looks capable of everything I'd want to emulate and more looking at this review:[Video] Even streaming games through xCloud and GeForce Now Would like to know how easy it is to setup 4 players as there's only 2 usb ports. (How easy with adapter and button mapping on various emulators).

Sorry just seen this, I had one of them. It ran Retroarch just fine even with PS1 and Dreamcast games. If you have any issues just message me. Retroarch can take a bit to get used to but once you sort it you will love it.

You can also look at arcadepunks.com/ you will need that site
