    Are Bumbo's any good???

    Hi Helpful Guys!!

I'm thinking of buying a Bumbo for my 4 month old son. Are they worth the money and are they safe!?

    Cheers for your help.

They are the best baby device I have ever come across and perfectly safe when used as intended, my son really liked his as it let him sit up unaided and gave him support in just the right place.

Are they wroth the money? Ours was £20 and worth double that!

Hi, my nephew has one and my sister thinks they are great. They are very comfortable and fantasic for helping the child to sit up. Hope this helps.

    Boots.com have them for £23.96.

My little girl has one and its great. Its the same one as my older 2 girls used when they were babies so they last well too. Would definately reccomend it

What is the going rate for these? Found out on Thursday that I'm gonna be a papa again!:-D

my son hated his and because he is a petite baby he would often lift his bottom up and lean over the side,i also felt like he sat to far forward in it

i got a bumbo a few months ago when my little man was 4 months old. its great for when you start weaning and at that age they look a bit lost in high chair!! he also enjoys sitting in it next to me on the sofa and watching eastenders lol

Never heard of these when my two where babes, and looking at them im not sure i would have used one, they look like a potty and would be concerned about how much support they actuallly give a little ones back, although like i said i have actually seen one just photos

Sorry on reading this back it sounds like im being judgemental on those who have these, i didnt mean it to come across that way if it has, just wondered how supportive these could be to little folk

I have a pink one for sale with box if anyone is interested, not sure if its worth it with p&p though

Forgot to say though it has been brilliant in my experience. Some people i know dont like them but like someone says below it is great for a lighter travel and my LO is 8 months now and she still looks tiny in the highchairs so i have to prop her up on a cushion as i feel she is too unsafe in her bumbo now.

we have one for our daughter, it's fab lightweight and portable, you get trays for them too which we have. it makes it into a high chair or can be used as a play table. we take ours everywhere very handy when your at relatives and don't want to take a bulky highchair. one of the best things that we bought would def recommend one and they are easy to sell on second hand.

Thanks for your comments guys - Rep added!

erm..they r ok but my lil un didnt like it overly and wasnt used that much..sold it for 15 quid.

Good for a couple of months but soon grow out of it... like most baby things I suppose.

:thumbsup:Of all the baby items and gadgets I ever bought, the bumbo was definately the best thing! They hold their resale value, so if you pick one up second hand from ebay, you will be able to sell it on again for the same price I would say. There is another type like the bumbo, something Lionheart if I remember correctly which aren't as good according to people I know that had one. Health professional recommend the bumbo I believe, and it certainly helped my little ones development - good luck

We were given one and our little girl loved it, it was definitely worth having. You can sell them on ebay when you have finished as well so they work out cheap in the end, we sold ours on and got more than had been paid for it in the first place.

i can highly recommend a bumbo chair we brought one for our son and i also believe it helps with posture as when they are to little for a high chair they tend to slump down, buy with confidence.

they are fantastic - stick you rlittle 'un in and they are safe while you get on with the hoovering/ironing/washing/cleaning like all good women should. :whistling:
