Are PC PSU's easy to replace?

Just bought a new PC but heard it has a weak PSU, I want to add a second HD, second DVD writer and a graphics card, and can get a cheap one for £10, just wondering if they are hard to replace.

you bought the packard bell one then!?

Cheap PSU not always a good idea. Not hard to replace but if it goes it may take out whole system. Opening case invalidates packard bell warrantee too (which with PB is NOT a good idea).
Buy the next imedia up if you want extras. Only one free PCI slot anway on Cuba mobo so cant do all of those unless you go external on hd and dvd writer (which would save needing PSU change).

Yes thought it was a good deal more PCI slots and a better processor than the Advent PC which was £30 more.

Well I just wont tell them I opened case lol, I did that with my Fujitsu Siemens last year, I removed the warranty seal, and put it back on after.

PB put the seal on the inside - tears once it's been opened. Dead easy to spot.

(Think PIN number style stickers you get in the post.. On there looks black. After reads VOID VOID VOID etc etc etc)

How do they get to seal a case from the inside ?

Done prior to welding one side shut at a guess. I don't work for them. Perhaps you could write and ask if you feel like it?

I wasn't doubting you just curious on how they did it

I did wonder too but hey I guess it has to be a put it in on the side which opens from opposite side then seal the other. Could of course break apart other side n leave seal intact but may well be a giveaway.

ryouga - I know you mentioned the RAM in the other thread not this one but it is worth noting they provide 2 sticks of 512mb RAM (on a 2 slot mobo) so you'll need to buy 2 1 gig sticks to add the extra gig you wanted)
