are supermarkets open today?

I went past sainsbury earlier about 11:30 and the shop was shut but there were cars in carpark so I am assuming they are opening maybe from 12 but could someone confirm before I make a trip out.

Thanks

I can't find a single shop open around here

Requirements for large shops on Easter Sunday and Christmas Day

As well as complying with restrictions on opening hours on normal Sundays, large stores of more than 280 square metres (3,014 square feet) must not open on:

Easter Sunday (except Scotland)
Christmas Day

I always thought Easter Sunday was the one day that shops were supposed to stay shut?

quick google you could have found out your answer, literally first website on the search of 'are shops open on easter sunday' came up with the info above.....

No.

It clearly states in the Bible that supermarkets must shut on Easter Sunday, but express stores are allowed to open.

You berate others for not teaching English correctly, but it seems as though your children don't use question marks when asking questions.

J'accuse.

Not when they are talking no. A question mark is used when writing not speaking. Also mine are still very young and probably wont know really how to use them yet anyway.
