Imagine the tesco value range...:whistling:

What do they not do?....they don't know how to charge the correct price...it took them at least 10 mins dragging me around the store constantly to check the items and see where the discrepency occured and made me miss a portion of the match. :x

When I tried to speed up the process by explaining in detail what the overcharge was, because they were clearly struggling to work it out and then I said, "can we please speed this up a little bit...I'm missing the Chelsea match?"

To that the staff replied "oh, are you going to the match tonight?"

I was thinking...the game's on in Spain...do you honestly think I could get a flight and get into one of the most packed stadiums in the world when the game has already kicked off. :giggle:

aye if u read th small print on tht advert is says something about no mutisave buys and things like tht so basically its a load of old b******s

I was right chuffed they honoured this deal: hotukdeals.com/ite…st/

I should have paid £56 but it came in @ £14 :-D Del. Must have cost them a fortune in losses

Given their profits announced lately I'd say they were doing something right.

The further they spread their net the less risk they have in certain sectors then.

Don't see a problem myself, if anything I think it's a good thing.

An advertisement 'bending the truth'? If I didn't have to deliver some milk tray I'd complain, but I've got my tux on now and the speedboat is waiting.

I see it as one of these, good thing's, but not in my back yard?

Good until they smother all competition, then they can charge what they want?

What they did in Inverness was a total pis* take.

Still, if the farmers ain't getting enough money for their meat and milk, they might get some for their land. :w00t:

I have to deal with being overcharged so many times and not once have I been offered double the difference refund. :x

I completely forgot I read about that on the forums, as I was in a rush to get back for the match and I was starving on the way back from the gym, so I was too busy munching on my sandwich while waiting for them to figure out what went wrong. :whistling:

you should definetely get double the difference, for instance the cashier double scans a product at £5, you should get £10 back for tescos mistake, same with regards to SEL etc

yeah - doing something right - closing Robin Hood Museum in nottingham - why - cos they own the land and museum cant pay the rent

as op says - taking over the world - we dont need id cards as al inffo about people is on loyalty cards - what we eat - drink - even down to what loo paper we use

suppose i am a bit hypocritical as i do go there - mainly for special ofers - but also look for pricing errors - nothing better than upsetting a tesco manager:-D

Next step is communism. We all work for Tesco in the ultimate Utopia.

5th largest company in the world I beleive.

They sent their head of corporate and legal services to our Law School last year to give us a talk on their training contracts.

They have massive ambitions, 30% of their growth is now outside of the UK so you will soon be able to shop in Tesco no matter where you are, I went to undergrad uni with a guy whose dad was the CEO of Tesco Romania of all places, they have huge development in the east and I believe Fresh and Easy is now doing ok in LA.

Fair play if you ask me, from a grocers stand in the east end, merge with local shop....boom, 5th largest company in the world, in less years than it takes England to regain any major football trophy, now that's success.

It'll never happen, we have the Competition Commission and if they let further expanison through we have the EU Competetion Court who definately will not.

Hence why they are moving abroad.

I went to Turkey last year and there was a Tesko - is this the same?

:P

I've seen one in Sri Lanka :w00t:

but that was just a little local shop taking the mick :p, there was an asda too, talking to to many tourists ;-)

theres a few real ones in prague though
