Looking on Facebook you see lots of free giveaways & I come across this one (See lazy link in post 1).
What is the catch as it's obviously false.

No it's not a scam, they are genuinely giving away 20x £100k worth of rv just for pressing like lol

Yes, dont waste your time. They get paid after a certain amount of likes and shares for advertising space.

more of a promotional comp, all have same finish date for entry, i have a friend who does these incessantly and won a caravaning holiday very similar thing, not an rv I know but just anecdotal that some are genuine, but like anything else, there will be those who take the **** for likes/shares.
and it doesn't actually say what they are offering either. designed to pray on the inattentive nature of Facebook

If it's too good to be true...

I know it's a scam (as I've already stated) but was curious as to why.You don't get any money for Likes or people sharing your post.

These pages are always building up a following and changing the name of the group to something completely different, they can be sold for a tidy sum as well once a good following has been built up.

But you didnt know it was a scam , hence your question.Adding " its obviously false" to your comment only after being told its a scam.

It's 'like farming'. If you get so many likes, shares, & reposts on your page you get paid revenue for the adverts on your page.
Type amen if you agree, or ignore if you are a heartless monster...

I was wanting to know what was to be gained from it all, hence why I asked the question. My question was "What is the catch as it's obviously false.Maybe false was a poor word to use & should have used the word Fake, but it's obvious I'm asking why are they doing it & not, should I click on the like button & share.
