do you think its a girl thing then, or are boys toys just not nice enough to keep - lol

    I am a terrible!!

My daughter is 19 months old and i still have ALL the clothes/shoes/toys she has grown out of.

I should really sell some of her clothes as we still have quite a lot of new stuff still with tags and there is loads of stuff she has only worn a couple of times - if that!

I think girls tend to get sentimental over their toys, especially if given as a gift by someone they love. I can't get rid of stuff that I don't even like if someone I love has given it to me.
My husband is also a hoarder though, but I think that's because he likes to collect

it isnt her that kept any of it, its me, 3 years ago i got everything down from the attic to do a tip run, near enough everything went back up, i couldnt bare to part with it all, like i say not really much of sons up there, mind saying that he never looked after anything like my daughter did

I do sell a fair bit of my kids stuff but keep all the important bits like 1st things, school work etc. Ive also kept a rocking mamas and papas sit on as i couldnt bear to get rid of it. We have my daughters dolls things too which were handmade by grandad.
My son however.... ive kept playschool stuff and first shoes etc but no toys really

yep, i actually used the carry cot part of it with my son (in the house, as he never felt cosy in the moses basket) :w00t: They dont make them like they used to

    nope nothing!

OMG really, you havent kept anything?

My plans are to move in 4 years time (well slightly less than that) and i really dont want to be taking it all with me to put in another loft, maybe daughter have her own place by then :w00t:

no i get rid asap cant wait to get rid of them although i do hoard pics etc that they bring home from school

We keep ours slimmed down..............take a load down the Salvation Army a couple of times a year.

We've kept some of our two's baby toys / clothes, but the majority of it we get rid of. Some goes on here / ebay, and the rest to charity or to friend's kids. Although we have got boxes containing every single picture etc that they've done at school so far.

The loft is full as it is with all of OH's crap, so would have no room to fill it with toys that our two will never play with again

I don't think there are many toys these days that will be collectable in years to come (so no point keeping something thinking it will be worth a fortune one day), so unless keeping something for sentimental reasons I can't see the point.

my attic was full - so when i moved i decided to not even check the bags just chuck them all away - the only item i kept was a talking big bird from sesame street it plays a tape and the eyes and mouth move - everything else went - don't regret it because if im honest i dont remember what was in there so dont miss them (and neither do the kids - lol)

:cry:i still have all the cloths and toys, drawing... everything, including the cot and play mat! and my son is 6 year old now.
    God bless me.
