Has anyone bought this before? Just bought a Nintendo Switch and 3 years extra cover is only £46.99, was thinking of getting it for peace of mind. Should I?

not herd of it myself, but with the problems some people are having with the switch its probably worth it

Will you use it away from home? Then yes, probably. I wouldn't as I would just have it protected under home insurance.

I'd imagine that claiming on your home insurance for a £280 console would cost you more than £46.99.

But that's if he does break it in 3 years, if he doesn't then it doesn't cost him a penny. It will only cost as much as your excess is. For me it's about £75 I believe. Claimed last year for a different item, insurance went up by a few quid this year, nothing major.

Went ahead and bought it. Pretty much the same price as one brand new game, I feel likes it's worth it, thanks guys!

I have a zero excess, which is fairly common. Even then it can often be reduced to a standard £50. Having made claims in the past, small items haven't impacted my premiums. Even claiming a lost wedding ring added no additional costs.

Nope but 99% of extended warranty is pointless.

If I weren't a broke college student then I would of. I could barely afford the switch lucky that my birthday is a month after release (this Sunday). Finally gonna be able to get more games than Zelda and 1-2-Switch
