Argos screwing me about regarding refund

So i preordered a Wii from Argos online ages ago and cancelled it weeks before the Wii was even released, though they had taken the money when i had ordered so i was told to expect a refund in 7-10 days. I waited like 3 weeks before calling them up as i still had not recieved the refund and was told that the console would be delivered the next day and all i had to was refuse it at the door and as soon as they got it back i would get the refund straight away.

So i waited a day, and then another, and another week ends up going by and still no delivery or refund. I sent them an email and have been doing so weekly ever since and the first few times i got told that they had contacted the finance department and i would get the refund in 7-10 days. The last time they said that recently they have been having some technical problems regarding some refunds and i should expect it in the next few days.

Another weeks gone by since this email and i get told pretty much the same thing over the phone i just end up waiting longer. Anyone know what i should do about this or if there is even anything i can do?

Best to give them a call and actually speak to someone and voice a very strong complaint.Don't know if it is argos or argos direct you need to ring,so not sure which number you need to ring

Easiest way is to contact the Managing Director and put in a really lengthy email explaining how rubbish the system is (taking money before even having goods in stock).

I did this over some wardrobes that were not in stock for absolutely ages and actually got compensated for it as well...

Obviously you will need to find that email address as I do not think it is public domain.
