A car with no easily distracted, incompetent and unreliable piece of meatware (almost) in control of it.

you can get drunk and then sit in the back on the way home

is meatware a real word?..

You will get the amazing experience of seeing a woman driver reverse parking.

You won't need to overtake the idiot in the middle lane who's not overtaken anyone :-/

Can get the car to take the kids to school while you stay at home & watch from the window your car returning home on it's own.

It can take the wife shopping while you go to the pub.

Bank robbers now have to use pedal bikes.

My car insurance will go down now............... OK I talk nonsense it will stay the same or go up due to how bad the battery is doing to the ozone.

Would you ever have to take a driving test ever again as really your just a passenger

they will probably have a manual mode for those who want to get some enjoyment out of being in a car

This would be ideal for terrorist bombers.:(

They don't need a driver?

No more extortionate taxi fares

with any luck it will lead to driverless trains and with the low skill level over paid drivers gone the millions saved can be passed on in lower ticket prices

Should be made compulsory for women

we can put a dog in the seat and itl look like he/she is driving

The one Google made doesn't have a steering wheel or pedals..

I don't understand this comment, are you being sarcastic? I can think of at least 5 examples of driverless light rail systems off the top of my head.

this technology is fine when it works but could be catastrophic if it … this technology is fine when it works but could be catastrophic if it malfunctions, you've only got to look at the amount of cars recalled nowadays because lower cost sub-standard parts have been used & this has lead to fatal accidents

Humans are far, far less reliable than machines.

People that need to get about, that due to a disability currently cannot. It will give them the independence we take for granted. You could eventually have all haulage travelling in driverless HGVs overnight leaving the roads and motorways clearer during the day and rush hours.
The only way it would ever be a perfect system would be if all vehicles were driverless, you didn't own a car just ordered it via your phone as and when you needed to go anywhere. The advantage over the current taxi system, no mundane chatter or BO smell.

Thomas had a driver back when I used to watch it.

People always say that the most dangerous part of a car is the nut behind the wheel.

Don't believe them.

I took mine off and the steering wheel came away in my hands while travelling up the M6 causing me to crash into the central reservation.

Try telling that to a Renault owner.(_;)

Aww Dad. I can't help feeling that a little justice has been done here X) We'll discuss it when your grounding is up

I guess the cops could tint the windows of all their cars and use these to make people think theres more of them around than there actually are.

You'll be able to travel slowly around the red light district and if you get pulled by the fuzz, you can blame the car.
