Asda have cancelled recurring slots for vulnerable customers over Xmas

If you are a vulnerable customer who was on the Gov Shielding List, and because of this had a recurring delivery slot with Asda, emails have gone out to suspend those recurring slots from 19th Dec 2020 - 02 Jan 2021
They say it's because Shielding ended in Aug but many vulnerable people, vulnerable through illness, have never trusted the government to know better that their doctors and consultants and remained away from shops and crowds. Given that we are headed back into Lockdown, and many parts of the UK are already under severe restrictions, why does Asda not think about this?
Is is not back to a stressful free for all again?
