Normal Cinema and it was still brilliant. We are contemplating on whether or not to watch it at the Imax again.

i went and saw it just now in 3d at vue in basingstoke.
Avatar is quite simply, an awesome piece of graphical genius. i tip my hat to you sir j. cameron. bravo!

TECHNICALLY amazing or the whole film amazing m8? I have tickets for imax next week-2 reviews I read today said it was technically groundbreaking, looked and sounded awesome but the story was garbage.

One review said some of the script was utterly cringeworthy and the acting left a lot to be desired.

Doesnt surprise me that cameron has brought the "future of cinema" to life in style but is the actual film any good?

Thanks I will go to a normal cinema then as Imax is over an hour away, maybe in the new year at some point the Imax will call

suspend belief for a few hours and just enjoy

watched the 3d last night - scenes still keep flicking back into my mind.

incredible.

gonna watch the 2d version too, just to compare.

I've been told it's like cross between Final Fantasy (the movie) and Titanic, sounds awful to me....

that's the great thing about flicks, you can actually make your own mind up for the sake of a few quid.

I looked at booking the Imax on the Southbank a few days ago, but unsurprisingly, its all booked up for the dates / times Id want.

I watched it at the new IMAX at the metro center tonight and the same thing happened, i don't think i've every seen a film that had the audience clapping. Thought the film was stunning, i kept forgeting that the 8foot blue aliens weren't real.:-D
