    AVI to DVD software?

Can anybody recommend any free software to convert an avi file to dvd format?
I downloaded the convert x trial but it says it will leave a watermark over the screen as it's only a trial.
    Thanks in advance

    On Win7

I bought winavi, great hassle free program, burning DVD's is too slow of a process though, I have been buying the family those cheap media players (Sumvision Cyclone) £20

Haven't got that, is it free to d/l?
All I'm after is to enable avi files to play in a normal dvd player. Works ok as avi on my dvd in house but not the car one. Not very technical here I'm afraid so something quick easy & straightforward is what I'm after

I use convertxtodvd, free via the usual places

Sorry I mean windows DVD Maker...Wikipedia Page
Only available on premium Windows Vista/7 apparently though. But if you have one of these it's pre-installed.
Simplicity doesn't cut it with this, put in the file, you have the option to edit menus to some degree if you like then set it off burning, it's that simple.

Yeh I have that but it got right near the end and then said it failed

after trying dvdflick and convertxtodvd, I have to say that convertxtodvd won hands down.
Its much simpler, and actually worked whereas dvdflick didn't produce me a dvd that would work on any player, be it standalone or computer.
