Badge count problem on Poco X3 pro.

Hello all, I have got a new Poco X3 pro a few days ago, and I have noticed that it doesn't have badge counts next to any of the apps. Notifications are on the top of the screen but unless I swipe down, I can't tell if there are any new messages or not. Is this the manufacturers fault or is there a way around it, please?

Go into launcher settings and change the notification badges option to number. If not already set.

I searched for "Poco X3 Pro notification badge" and here is the first link I got.

Sorry to be a pain. I followed the video to the T but even after changing it to number the notifications are still showing at the top and not as number badges, any ideas please?
