Bank Holiday Camping - Suggestions

Found 25th Apr 2009
Living in Newcastle, we are looking to go away for a couple nights, camping next weekend.. (sat/sun)

can anyone recommend a caravan/camp site within 2 hours / 120miles of home? We'll have a little one (aged 4) in tow, do any on site activites will be great too..

Also, we may need to leave the site for a cpl hours, so want somewhere we our tent will be safe as we dont want to have to take it down and put it back up

i was up in snainton (nr scarborough) easter - farms are letting you camp there - dont know costs - really nice up there for little one as they have all lambs out - plus as you mention safety - it is a very very nice area - you wont have that worry

just noticed you wanted activities -ssorry
wll try and find link or telephone number for you and post later

Ther's not a whole lot on site to do, but Lytham St Annes is close by, along with Blackpool.

Try the camp site at Alwinton, Clennell Hall Riverside Holiday Park

Probably only an hours drive away and you're in the hills

Kielder's always a good place to go. We're off there with 3 kids and a dog soon after a strong recommendation from friends with their young kids.
