Tried to pay in some bags of change today - they would only take five bags. This was in spite of the fact I was the only customer in there, and had carried the bag all the way from the car which I had to park in a Pay & Display car park. My shoulder now hurts from the weight of the money. I was stunned at the cashier's rudeness and ignorance. I was just repeatedly told 'five bags only'. Like it was the only phrase she knew to say. No reason why, no suggestion of what else I could do. Me and the kids had sat for hours on Saturday counting and bagging the money, it was all properly sorted and labelled with a list of what was what enclosed in the sack, and a total loged as you went along. There was no reason I could see for her refusing it. I asked if I could queue again (though there was no queue) or come back later - just to be given the same 'five bags only' response. I said 'So basically I have to come in every day for a week just to pay in some money to my account?' Guess what the answer was - 'five bags only'. Tomorrow I shall go back with my three children and husband and each of our individual pass books and hopefully she'll take the whole lot in separate 'five bags per customer' style. Five bags for me, five bags for hubby, five bags for the three year old etc. Anyone else had this craziness? Any reasons why? I need to vent. Thanks for listening.
