    Barry Ferguson Moves To Brum

Barry Ferguson's Rangers career moved closer to an end when the Ibrox club on Wednesday evening accepted a bid from Birmingham City.

I'm not over the moon but not gutted either.

If he was our main signing and cost £5-£10 million then yes i would be fuming but he is just the sort of central midfield, play maker we need, someone to control the game, spread the play and put their foot on the ball.

From what i have read on different forums, he's not a tackler, goalscorer etc but will give 100% and thats all us noses ask for.

Any rangers or blackburn fans with opinions?

Thats very naughty :w00t: .....

    But sadly probably true .....

As a Gers fan you have got a great player there for a bargain price.
A lot of Rangers fans werent pleased with Fergusons perfomances last season but they have short memories.
The year we got to the UEFA cup final, it was Barry who basically single handed carried Rangers through in Europe. It was some of the best midfield play I'd seen from a Rangers player.
He played through the pain barrier with regards to his ankle and come the end of that season he had to get an operation and missed pre season. I've played semi pro and know if you miss pre season through injury etc your always playing catch up with fitness and match fitness. Ie Christiano Ronaldo at the start of last season when he was injured. It took him a few months to get back into the swing of it. Resulted in Man U fans moaning about his performances at the start of the season.
I'm gutted Ferguson has left Rangers and if he keeps himself injury free you've got a good player there.
My mates a Blackburn fan and he said the times Ferguson played for Blackburn he was there best player most of the time. Again injury hampered him there also.
£1m not a lot of money for a player these days.
    Mon the Brum!

At least he's not on crutches! unlike our 'top' signing.

He'll do a good job for brum as long as there aren't too many boozers about :whistling:

You know how the African players all go away for the African's cup?

Will the Blues midfiled (and manager) miss several matches for the Bavarian Beer Festival

They are all true professionals and don't drink remember ................ ;-)

To be fair to Fergie he's not that much of a boozer now. He's more family orientated now and his days of drinking out on the town are at a minimum. The Scotland booze scandal was one of the few times he's been out on the lash lately. Don't think he'll hang himself again after that.

Question surely is - who is going to run Rangers now he's off?

Mendes and Davis could make up for Barry in midfield but if the lose boughera they'll be in trouble

Think they'll hold on to Boughera. He doesnt want to go and they've got knowone to replace him in the squad. Doesnt look as if Rangers are buying this year by the looks of things. All quiet on the western front!
