When I try to watch anything on BBC iPlayer I'm getting the following message :

"Currently BBC iPlayer TV programmes are available to play in the UK only, but all BBC iPlayer Radio programmes are available to you."

This is despite me being in London !! I've tried deleting all cookies etc and resetting the browser to defaults etc. I'm at work btw and we get this intermittently but it usually rights itself after a day or two, tho right now I'm stuck and would love to know if anyone has a workaround

Cheers

Do you pay tv license?

What is your ISP? Had this with AOL when iPlayer first started but soon got fixed.

You don't need TV license for catchup service like iPlayer.

I'm at work so on a LAN
Just found a PC that does work - some do some don't, wish I knew why !

Oh yes, I do pay my license :-D

Had this problem with Orange too.

It was with Setanta Broadband, kept telling us we were outwith the UK lol.

Turned out the router needed rebooting, something to do with how its routed about via the ISP.

Your work is possibly set up to use a proxy or server abroad, you work for an international company?

A big company (can't say who as I'm on shift now!) tho I doubt if the proxy is overseas. some PCs work with it, some don't so it's got to be a setting on the local PC
