have a cold shower that will help

We had BBQ today, first this year, kids are loving the weather and garden. Good to see them all outside running around rather than in front of TV.

I've had too listen too people complaining that its too hot.
Typical Brits - we not had a proper summer for nearly 2 years and afetr a week of ab hot weather everyone moans about it!
I want a tan this year so i would like a hot summer that last up til the end of september. It can rain at night so there's no droughts.
Glad to see some in here are enjoying it and not moaning about it!!!!!!!!!

same i also had a bbq but the weather up here wasn't so good. I live in st.helens and i was watching the best team ever win the prem and i started to thunder here and we thought we might have to cancel it but then it cleared up so i still had one! also its the 1st one here aswell so happy all around:thumbsup::w00t:

would be nice if it did last all summer, but doubt it will  but fingers crossed it will, was so hot today got a lovely tan:thumbsup::thumbsup:

would be nice if i could go and sit and enjoy a drink in the garden or anywhere but i still have 3 screaming kids that wont go to sleep. They are not always like this but the youngest at 6 months is the worst one and will not stop screaming in her cot and its driving me MAD.

Not fair...who's got a garden I can borrow for an afternoon? lol

i keep saying its her teeth on and off but i have been saying it now for 2 months and still NO teeth, out of the four of us it is me who would be asleep in minutes given the chance

my little boy has just got 4 teeth through within 3 weeks, I use them aston & parsons powders they seem to do the job

what have you tried?

well for me lager, for her she just seems to be mardy, she is sat on my knee now quite happily but when i put her in the cot and leave ehr like i normally would, she just screams and moves around the cot banging her head on the sides and turning over. I took her back downstairs and gave her some yoghurt but that has not worked and i have fed her milk but that doesnt work either. I suppose she will go eventually but then i will be ready for bed too and wont get anytime to relax. Never mind

my daughter didn't sleep through for almost 3 years, absolute nightmare! Mind you she is living on the other side of the world now so no more disturbed nights for me (she is a teenager now, had years of her waking us up getting home in the early hours too!)

well she has almost gone off to sleep now, i put her back in the cot. The other two have also just dropped off to sleep and they have been in bed since 7.30pm. Now i will get the school clothes ready and then i will go i think

i hope you have a good night's sleep

it will only last about 2 hrs and then she will be crying again. Then she will go a short while before waking up again. I dont know what to do with her she just seems to want the comfort. In the daytime she is fine and will go in her cot and sleep for a while but not at night at the moment.
Sorry for disrupting your thread, it is about drink and social enjoyment (or LACK OF IT) i even have a big garden i could go and enjoy a bbq/drink in just no time

BBQ's rule but you do need plenty of booze for a real barbie! and of course the requisite water fight!
