Bed mattress

Are IKEA UK bed mattress good or which brand will last long? looking for comfort, medium firm, good body support and quality with good warranty and value for money price. Need two mattresses. UK Seller names needed and which mattress style is best (spring etc) please.

John Lewis ones are excellent. I would recommend them strongly. I believe many are British made as well as being traditional British brands.

ikea mattress are not great they use a layer of foam on top of the springs, so tend to get hot, plus they are not double sided

look for a pocket sprung mattress which is double sided say 1000 spings with traditioanl tufting both sides
Mattresses are a very personal thing, the best way is to go to a shop and have a lay on them to see which suits you best.

Both springs and polyurethane foam tend to have similar lifetimes.
