Been sent fake goods on fleabay, what should I do?

    Hi there,

I was dubious about it in the first place, but when people have positive feedback and a history of selling clothes I thought i'd be okay.

I won an Allsaints top from the seller, but when it arrived it really looks like the biggest fake ever. No labels anywhere (not even a white one inside the garment saying "hand wash only"), the ramskull logo is way too high-up, and the material feels totally different.

The seller stated in his post he wont accept returns, but I'm sure you can take action over things like this if their item is not as described. SO I just wondered if anyone had any advice over what I should do about getting this resolved?

    Thanks again.

you will need to open a dispute and also get written proof from a supplier to say it is fake

I recently bought a Radley bag from ebay which when it arrived was clearly a fake. I reported to ebay and they sorted it out. I returned the item and got a full refund including return postage. Seller originally refused to refund me as there were lots of pictures and she said I could tell what I was buying from the pictures (although she denied it was fake.) Sometimes though you can't tell until you've actually got hold of it.

open a case with paypal stating that it is a fake you do need to get someone to prove this for you like a geniune supplier also it is illegal to put fake goods into the postal system, so you should legally not return it

contact the seller first saying the item is a fake or significantly not as described (by ebay TOS he has to accept returns if this is the case)

    If not open a dispute

it is against the law to send fakes good via royal mail, and would say this was more to do with seller accepting a return and refund, the op states the seller wont refund, so paypal wont just refund on the ops say so

trading standards will tell you this, it's said a lot on the ebay forums. TS will advise you to destroy it,

You should never return a fake item to a seller... as it just enables them to re-sell it.

Dont even contact the seller... just open a dispute for the fake item. If you contact the seller, the chances are they will accept to return theitem and refund you to save the hassle off ebay.

Thanks for all the help on the matter guys, i've decided to get it checked so that I can then report it and get it destroyed.
