Get the other half to get the snip, it's simpler.

This is a girly thread, and for that reason - I'm out.

On a more serious note can you actually get it done during a section, My SIL in north wales said she could get steralised and a tummy tuck done but there's nothing like that near us, as far as we know.

Only ask as were planning one more before one of us "gets done" and would be simpler if wifey could get it done at the same time ?

were in n wales and i was speaking to neighbour about this, her friend had a tummy tuck done on the NHS but apparantly they dont do it the same time as section u have to have it done seperatly.

i considered getting sterilised after the baby i have just had but now im not too sure :whistling:
spoke to midwife about it the other day and she said better of going for a 5yr implant its very reliable and is easily removed should ur situation change.

i originally said i didnt want anymore kids after i seperated with the dad of my 1st 2 children but then i met someone else and im so glad i didnt do anything permanant about it

Yeah this is my 4th section or will be, that's pushing the limits of what the dr's deem safe, I don't want anymore or have the long term health isues of being on the pill.

My consultant will sterilise me at the section providing scar tissue allows access to my tubes, as I am 100% sure, it's easier to do it at the time rather than open me up again. She said.

If I wanted sterilisation seperately they may not be able to do it the simple way you see, due to scar tissue from sections so they prefeer to do it when you are already "open".

Don't know anything about what you girls are talking about BUT are these 'any good'????

I would ask to see another doctor, I know a few people who've had it done under 30 on the NHS, good luck, I'm thinking of being done myself this year as I have to have surgery to remove an AWOL coil so I'm hoping they'll snip me while they're there!
