I have a fountain and I just buy Cadburys, some people like to add a bit of cooking oil to their chocolate if its not specifically made for choc fountains,I personally don't.

is it still okay with nothing added? which type do you use? and does it go far? (eg, do you get a big bar and cut it up? or do you buy flakes/buttons ect?) how much do you need per 'go'? (there are 3 of us), thanks xxx

You will need lots of chocolate, a lot more than you would think. You will never eat it all so it will end up in a bowl in the fridge for weeks.

Tip: When you have finished using it put it in hot soapy straight away, not leave it until the morning like I did.:-(

Offenders:
1. Patio Heaters
2. Chelsea Tractors
3. Chocolate Fountains
4. TBC (don't even go there)

We use Cadburys Dairy Milk, have to buy big bars,if Woolworths have 500g bars then we buy 1 of those or 2 bars of the 250g.You need more than you going use to get it flowing.

we use tescos own (not the value but the one in the blue wrapper) its gorgeous chocolate use about 3 or 4 of the larger bars , melt it in the microwave about tbsp of oil and its done, just add the oil so it runs smooth. I personally wouldn't waste your money on the 'proper' chocolate you don't need to.

No disrespect to Mum2Connor&Cerys Opinion.

I would not buy or use Cadburys there is hardly any CoCo solids in the stuff

Hold a piece between your fingers and see how quick it melts.

I would say Green & Blacks or lindt but on the scale you want i would go for Milka this is a swiss chocolate and is at least 30% CoCo solids

None taken. But Green & Blacks cos Organic its expensive,I craving Maya Gold now you mention that.

I always use Galaxy (Yum yum yum) and add some oil!

lidl's own chocolate with a dash of oil to thin it out
and after your finished with it spoon it out into jars and use as chocolate spread for the kids sandwiches
