Ooh good stuff, good luck and let us know how you get on!

The highest thing I've climbed is to the top of the stairs (and I live in a bungalow) so I'm not much help but sending best wishes!

well it's for charity , so a bra and pants

    lol, what you two like.

I personally would head for my nearest Millets and talk to them, they could provide you with suitable advice on what to wear and probably kit you out too. In fact I'd be tempted to email them with your charity news, and ask if they might sponsor you with some clothing as long as you mention your name every time you're interviewed and have their logo on your clothes or something.

    Good man!

I did this last year for Kidney Research UK and I used their guide.

Make sure you have several thin layers rather than one big jacket as you will get really warm as you ascend but can get very snowy and cold up top. The weather changes very suddenly too so I hope you have a good guide to take you up it.

If you havent done anything like this before, I would recommend doing a smaller hill first but as long as you are along the tourist route, its not very hard but it is a long day so make sure you have a good breakfast on the day and bring some energy snacks.

Also, bring water but do not store it in a camelbak it will freeze!

    anymore questions just ask.

    Good luck and enjoy it.

As other say...layers, food + water, camera/ phone, map (or someone who's done it before) and if you're buying brand new boots, you absolutely must break them in before you go up. You should also start early to make the most of it. Good Luck

Oh, and a waterproof jacket.
