Benson's for beds consumer rights

Posted 3rd Jul 2020
so I bought a bed that has 5 years warranty from Benson's it's been about 3 years and is basically collapsing... they told me I have to pay a company to inspect my claim... I questioned that and was replied to with this (under) is this correct?

Hi Frazer,

It is consumer law and is called the 'burden of proof'.

So if it was within the first 6 months the burden of proof falls on the seller and we would book a technician for you. after 6 months the burden of proof then falls on the customer.

The store would not be able to help as they are not trained for something like this.

The report is the only way I'm afraid. Without that Bensons for Beds would not take this any further.

Kind Regards,
Elliott
