Im looking for a good laptop for £500 or less. Needs to be suitable for carrying around and stuff.

Im mainly looking to use it for general word processing but I will also be watching catch up TV on it and listening to music. Looking for a windows laptop rather than a chromebook I think.

Anyone got an recommendations? Are either of these good?

Lenovo

Dell

You need to focus on your exact requirements as there are so many laptops with different strengths and weaknesses.

1. Screen size.
2. Screen resolution.
3. Weight.
4. Battery life.
5. Screen quality - IPS etc.
6. Storage size and type.
7. Maximum RAM capacity.
8. Misc - gaming, touch screen etc.

1. 14-15 inch should be alright.
2. 1080p would be best value for money I think?
3. Not too bothered, but I dont want something too heavy.
4. Not a major issue, I will likely only need about 3 hours.
5. I dont even know what IPS is
6. I dont need too much storage so that shouldnt be an issue.
7. 8gb should be fine I think?
8. I wont be using it for games, and I dont really need touch screen but it would be fine to have it.

Thanks for your help
