Can you please explain what the benefits of cashback and membership rewards are ?

Amex not much use in the uk. If you are in the USA they are more widely used.
If you can get an Amex black card, its made out of titanium and is classed as very cool in the states and far east.

It's good for business and travel. Got a Corporate one :whistling:

Not the UK one, a Centurion card revamp is overdue though.

The BA Amex is quite good if you plan to spend at least £10k PA as this gives you a free Companion Voucher for a BA flight booked with miles.

BA miles can be trasferred over from Tesco so a good source of cheap miles.

From company I work with (big global firm). Don't wanna say who as I'm not a fan of digressing much stuff about myself online

I have a platinum charge card and a gold credit card. Will bin the gold credit card as am using the platinum one all the time.Membership rewards are good.check out the website. Cost of the platinum one is £300 per year but my wife gets a platinum card free and both my parents and parents in law get a gold one- all 5 supplementary cards are free. All 5 of us and my children are covered by free travel insurance from AMex and my wife and I also get a free Priority Pass card for airport lounges which comes in handy.

Its by invite only. Monthly spend of £10k needed
