Best broadband deals at the minute?

Hi all, I'm going to be moving into a new flat soon and we're going to have to get broadband installed. There's often some great deals on Broadband on here like the o2 ones, but the cashback trhough quidco is only £50 atm whereas it used to be £100.

So with o2s medium package I worked out it will come to about £16 a month including phone line rental which is unlimited usage and "up to 20meg" speeds. But there's also the hassle of toping up £10 on an o2 sim every few months (more details on this would be helpful)

Does anyone know of any better deals than this?

    Any input greatly appreciated

im looking for the same atm o2 also want £85 to set up the landline for me where as bt is only £29.99

BE (www.bethere.co.uk) ~ They use the BT lines.

do you have any sky packages? - i use their phone plans aswell as tv, so i get it for £5/month - think its up to 10GB

I recently heard about plusnet www.plus.net....£6.49 per month....£35 quidco and free router.....this is a BT company so must be decent service as it will use same infastructure and max upto 20mb your line will take. Only downside is if you are a big downloader 10gig limit.

I would move straight to this if I didnt have free Oranage starter broadband with my contract which I am considering leaving- see my PM for question.

I suggest you read some reviews of plus.net, ive heard nothing but bad things about them!

Interesting - good info dh058977...I hadnt got as far as reading reviews....they seem to be one extreme or another excellent or very poor.....i have always tended to think that in a built up area that is well serviced you probably cant go far wrong with different suppliers esp if using BT in the background rather the customer service being the bigger differentator.....but I guess this would make me seriously consider. You can take it on a rolling monthly contract though so not all would be lost.
