if you have a dodgey picture then try re-adjusting your dish.

how you do thaT? just move it?

well firstly navigate through your services i know in there there is a signal strength indicator (I cant direct you without looking going though it myself)

if its fairly low then theres your problem. So yeah just move your dish around try and point it in better line of sight with the satalite (get someone to shout up to you when the signal is getting better)

The most common cause of a poor signal (apart from weather) is trees, make sure theres nothing blocking the signal.

Sometimes the quality of cable can make a difference.

If you get a decent RGB Scart cable and plug it from the box, directly into the TV (not via a splitter) you should notice an improvement. Certainly I did when I removed the splitter!!

Are you connected to the correct socket?
If the picture came straight up then you should have a good picture unless the dish or reciever needs adjusting. If you had to tune in your tv you haven't got it connected right.

RGB is the best form of picture output from a SKY+ box. If you want to improve on this you would have to have a hdtv and a decent upscaling unit (separate) or one built into an AV receiver/amp something with a decent scaling chip like the HQV reon-vx. But your looking at £800+ I believe. My advice is upgrade to SKY+ HD it's cheaper  lol.
