Probably one from 3, although I saw EE offering something with 20GB a month on a board outside their store in Southampton today - might be worth a look on their site if you're able

Edit - the EE one on their site is £31.50 a month for 20GB so a touch on the expensive side.

£18pm for 30GB with three which you can tether so share with other devices.
Think the deal ends tomorrow btw

Lots of free wifi if you're near places like macdonalds, costa, big supermarket cafes, etc etc. Won't cost you anything other than a bit of a walk.

Some of the supermarkets have good deals . Asda had some deals before xmas but I am not sure if they are still going

Giffgaff is £20 per month for unlimited data but speeds will be reduced once you reach 6GB

Agreed. Less convenient. But it is free. The majority of people I've met in hostels or Refuges have been struggling to make ends meet financially and it might save the OP some pennies.

    Talkmobile 12 g for £12 a month I think is good value.

Just a quick Q.... Do you recall if the one on the Southampton board was significantly cheaper than £31.50?

She wanted data. Because there's no wifi. If there was wifi, she wouldn't be asking for data sims. I'm giving a free solution to the lack of wifi which is the original problem.

It is techncially practical to achieve unlimited 4G data including tethering when using the combination of virtually any Android handset, an app and a suitable PAYG SIM. The tethering ability may make it more affordable if spread across multiple users, but you would be blatantly abusing the carrier's t&c. The downside is the airtime cost of £25 / month...

I think the virgin deal is still on till tomorrow.20G for £15 on a 30 day rolling contract.

Thank you all for your help....but please don't stop and I'm passing any info on to the other ladies here.

Not much point in £30 for 50GB when 3 offer genuinely unlimited all-you-can-eat 4G at £25 for same time period, unless of course the 3 signal is poor where expected to be used, and same reception issue may affect any other carrier option.

Thats a good deal if 30 day term, however if like me 3/EE is poor round my region except main town/cities, you can move two miles from the towns and have 1 bar 2G on EE & nowt on Three. No I'm not in the Highlands either! lol.

I thought Andy was saying Three did a Three Ireland and brought out home broadband - but unlimited.

3 & EE signal and speed have suffered in my region since the OrangE/T-MobilE merger, some of the newer Orange base stations were shut down and the rest merged into the old T-Mobile/3 MBNL company where some of the 2G hardware was still from inital build out decades before, 2G on T-Mobile was always problematic even from the days of before One2One Precept Max a kind of Precept 3000 was trialled, 3000 One2One same network calls and 50p a minute to other networks.

I paid £75 (x2) for this plan as although signal issues it was the only way to get a high volume of calls mobile to mobile. Things got better when 3G came, and got worse when EE 4G came! Beggars belief really X)

Now B/EE/T as the biggest dual telco are crying to Ofcom about 03 termination rates, unbelievable!
    ofcom.org.uk/__d…pdf

I was interested in the Uswitch Plusnet £7.50 deal or EE 20/30GB with EU data roaming or Three but until they pull MBNL out of the dark ages up North Britain it cant happen, I already have a cheap 2G and another 3G dual sim phone with a Talkmobile payg and Anywhere sim where T-MobilEE 2G/3G fails

Hopefully BT will ramp up MBNL build out because it needs it.
