Best deals for west end shows

A bit vague this one really. Looking to head into london for a show around march time. Not sure of which show at the moment. Weighing up between We will Rock You and Phantom of the opera at present.

I can see tickets are available on seetickets and ticket master. That said though, every time I go to london I see loads of vendors selling discount tickets and I believe some sites such as lastminute also sell tickets at reduced rates sometimes.

What i' really querying is: whats the best place to buy tickets and any advice?

Thank you.

i'm looking for theatre tickets too and have found lastminute.com to be good. worth checking their dinner packages too as it is often same price as just the tickets ;-)

the get into theatre website has some good offers on, I just got hairspray tickets for £25 each, and unlike lastminute, tells you the seat numbers so you can see where you're sitting

Thank you. I'll check both of these offers out thank you rep added.

Honeyb35, hairspray is touring later in the year so I shall be seeing that at my theatre in Oxford. These are priced slightly cheaper than the west end shows plus there's a lot less travel expense. I hope you enjoy it.

i've been to hairspray, it is very good :-)

get into london didn't have any sat tickets for dirty dancing, lastminute doesn't have any good prices till about april either :-(

Avoid the ticket vendors you see around London. Best place us the tkts booth in Leicester Square. Only official seller and you can get some really good deals on the day.
Apart from lastminute try theatremonkey or comparetheatretickets. Both good IMO.

www.whatsonstage.com have a Theatre Club that costs £30 per year to join.

They give away FREE tickets to various Westend shows throughout the year to members, when the shows don't sell out. If you live in/visit London, go to the theatre and are pretty felxible on dates/times, it's definitely worth the £30 membership fee.

RedLetterDays have a similar package, giving you theatre membership for the year giving you access to exclusive showings and discounts.

The great thing is, that they're charging just £20 and it comes with a FREE top price ticket to see a West End show... usually in the stalls. For £20!?! For that price (at a discount theatre tickets vendor!), you'd normally get somewhere with restricted view...

You can choose between The Jersey Boys, Chicago, We Will Rock You, Stomp, The Woman in Black and Blood Brothers - all of which are AMAZING shows.

I personally think that's the best offer around at the moment. Enjoy.

Duckmagic, that does sound a great deal and I will defiantly be checking it out. Do you know how flexible they are on dates at all?

Planning to see Phantom of the Opera, and We will rock you, but if the pries are that good then it may well b worth making a few visits.

Thank you.
