Best Deals With Car Insurances And Recovery

We are looking to insure both cars in the household and also want recovery that will cover both me and hubby for any car we are travelling in.

Currently with More Than and Im now sick of looking!
Any ideas on how best to get a good deal and with whom.

this is the best info you can find on the net about car insurance…nce

I have followed the link there for a comparison site and saved over £100

plus gives info on insurers current promotional offers

First Direct. First Direct says it will beat news customers renewal quote by at least 10%, providing your annual premium is over £200 for comprehensive or £120 for non-comprehensive.

Kwik Fit. Kwik Fit* is currently offering new customers £100 off the price of a Sat Nav. The cost will be £57.69 inc. delivery. There are cheaper ways to buy a sat nav if you want one.

More Than. More Than* is giving a £25 Fuel Card in the form of a pre-paid Maestro credit card. The card is valid for 12 months and can be used in any petrol station or forecourt shop where Maestro is accepted.

Post Office. The Post Office is offering new customers £50 cashback for taking out its car insurance before the 31 Aug 08.

Swiftcover. Swiftcover is offering new customers £25 off its car insurance when entering code VMD25MY before getting a quote and providing your annual premium is over £121.80 for comprehensive or £99.75 for non-comprehensive cover.

Tesco. Tesco* is offering a £40 shopping or fuel voucher to new customers who buy its car insurance before 17 Sep 08 and quote code 'shop40'. You'll also get 1 clubcard point for every £2 of your car insurance premium.

Tesco Compare. Tesco Compare* is giving 1000 Tesco clubcard points if you buy insurance from one of twelve insurers through its site before 17 Sep 08 (see the Loyalty Points article for more info).

Zurich. If you own a Tom Tom and take out Zurich insurance before 29 Aug 08 quoting code 'ZTOM5' its giving a £50 M&S voucher. If you don't own a Tom Tom you can get £50 off but there are cheaper ways to buy if you want one.

For recovery I would look at Road side assistance through Quidco cashback scheme, there was a deal on recently someone posted on this site for RAC. Also:

RAC. The RAC* is giving new customers free RAC Roadside Cover or £20 discount and £35 cashback if you already have it's breakdown.

For Seperate Roadside cover check out green flag which are much cheaper than AA and RAC and are doing a £20 quidco cashback deal.

Id heard that greenflag only cover the car and not the person, is that right?

Depends on the policy I think, mine covers my car whether it myself or the wife driving it.
